SUMMARY:European Retirement Week - PensionsEurope Webinar
DESCRIPTION:The European Retirement Week (ERW)\, held annually during the last week of November\, provides a platform for stakeholders to discuss the future of pensions in European citizens’ awareness of the need to save for retirement and achieve pension adequacy. This year\, the ERW will kick off on 25 November 2024. \nAs part of the ERW\, PensionsEurope is hosting a webinar on 26 November 2024\, titled “Future-Proofing Retirement in Europe: The Need for More Funded Pensions. The webinar will explore Europe’s main retirement challenges\, such as demographic changes\, falling replacement rates\, and growing fiscal pressures on governments. The webinar will explore solutions at both the European and national levels. It will highlight the crucial role funded pensions must play in ensuring adequate and sustainable retirement outcomes. \nThe event will consist several videos messages from PensionsEurope members and the European Commission on the retirement challenges faced in Europe and across Member States and European solutions they identify to tackle these issues. After the video\, a live panel discussion will take place and dive deeper into the issues addressed in the videos. \n  \nProgramme  \nEuropean Retirement Week – Programme  \n  \nVideo \nThe video will be presented during the event.
