PensionsEurope is hosting Investing in the Future on 1 December 2021, 10:00am – 12:00pm as part of European Retirement Week (29 November – 3 December 2021), an initiative of 11 European associations with the goal of providing a platform for a wide range of stakeholders to debate the future of pensions in Europe and raise citizens’ awareness of the need to save for retirement. During Investing in the Future, we will explore pension opportunities and planning, alternative investments, how ethical investments are changing the pensions landscape and the challenges and trends for 2021 and beyond. Next to that, we will also take a closer look at the Pension Tracking Services and Dashboard and how the monitoring of pension adequacy can be organised.

11:00 – 12:00 | Pension Tracking Services and Dashboard The European Commission will facilitate the monitoring of pension adequacy through the development of pension dashboards and develop best practices for the set-up of national tracking systems for individual Europeans as part of the implementation of the new CMU action plan. We will hear from EIOPA how that could work in practice. Next to that, we will learn more about how the tracking service in Sweden was developed, and our distinguished panellists will share their insights on the challenges and best practices in developing these tools.
